Adams Pointe Golf Club

This golf course just 15 minutes outside of Kansas City and opened recently in 1998. Designed by Don Sechrest, this course features stone-lined ponds, numerous bunkers, and naturally changing elevation from tee to green on almost every hole. Considered a top-five must play Kansas City golf destination, the Adams Pointe Golf Club's green fees are in the $20-$50 range.

Longview Lake Golf Course

This is the top-rated municipal course in the Kansas City area. The Kansas City golf course opened in 1996 and is built beside Longview Lake. It is a links style golf course and wind can play a factor on any given day. Green fees are in the cheap $15-$20 bracket.

Swope Memorial Golf Course

One of the oldest municipal golf courses in the Kansas City area, Swope was opened in 1934. The golf course is short, measuring 6,274 yards, but the fairways are tight and mature vegetation can easily swallow any errant shot. The course offers views of the downtown Kansas City skyline, and green fees are in the $20-$30 range.

Tiffany Greens is a newer golf course, opening in 1999 and designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones II. The Kansas City golf course is currently hosting the TD Waterhouse Championship event for the PGA Champions Tour. This Kansas City course measures just short of 7,000 yards, and is a four-star track, consistently ranked in the state's top ten. Green fees are in the $80-$100 range.
